Delta DOP-100 HMI To PLC Delta DVP Communication

How to communication Delta DOP-100 HMI and PLC Delta DVP Series? This post guides you: “Communication in between Dop-100 Series HMI and Delta PLC DVP Series (CPU 16ES2)”. 

Preparing To Connect Delta DOP-100 And PLC DVP Series

To connect DOP-100 HMI and PLC Delta DVP Series we used:

• Connect delta dop-100 and plc – Hardware used:
  • Delta PLC Model DVP16ES2
  • Delta DOP-100 HMI Model DOP-107EV
  • COM RS485 9 pins for communication cable
• Communication delta dop-100 and plc Delta – Software used:
  • Delta WPLSoft 2.5 for PLC programming
  • Delta DOPSoft V4.00 for DOP-100 HMI programming

Select The Connection Method DOP-100 And PLC Delta DVP

• We used RS485 Type for connection DOP 100 HMI and PLC DVP
• On Dop 100 HMI, we used COM 2 with interface RS485 for connection
• On DVP PLC, we used COM 2 with D+ and D- terminals for connection

The Steps To Connection Between DVP PLC And DOP 100 On The Software

On Delta DOP-100 HMI Software

• Open DOPSoft v4.00 and create the project with a DOP 100 device.
• On the “Communication Settings” step, select the COM 2 connection to connect Delta dop-100 and plc, and choose Delta DVP PLC.
• Set the HMI communication parameters as Interface (RS485), Data Bits, Stop Bits, Baud Rate, Parity Bits
• Click “Finish” and then program the project.
• Compile and download the project to HMI. With DOP100 HMI you can download the program via Ethernet, via a USB flash drive. You can refer to the previous post for more information.  

On Delta DVP PLC Software

• Open WPLSoft and create the project with a DVP PLC device.
• Click “Options” -> “Communication Settings” and set the communication parameters. And then programming the project.
•  Download the project to PLC. If you are a newbie, refer to how to download the PLC program on WPLSoft in the previous post on 365EVN, we guided you.

Finally, make the cable follow the above connection diagram. Connect, and check the connection PLC to HMI DOP-100 by try change some values on HMI and check on PLC or vice versa.
