Hardware and Software for Upload Schneider HMI Program
To make the Schneider HMI upload / backup program from Magelis HMI to PC, we use:
Hardware
- Schneider HMI Magelis HMIGXU5512
- Ethernet cable
- Laptop with Windows 10

Software
- Schneider Vijeo Designer Basic V2.0 HF1 (The latest version is V2.1). If you need it, please get in touch with us.
Upload / Backup Schneider HMI Program Note
To upload Schneider HMI Program to the PC, when you download the Magelis HMI program to HMI on Vijeo Designer Basic, you need:
- Enable the option “Include Editor Project”
You can check by selecting “Target” -> “General” and ticking the option “Include Editor Project”
- Check the data locations (Option): By default, the Schneider HMI program is saved to the main drive
- Project password (if any)
Steps To Backup Schneider HMI Program
Follow the steps to Upload / Backup Schneider Magelis program to the PC:
- Open Vijeo Designer Basic. In Vijeo Manager (Left panel), create a new folder to save the upload program
- Then, right-click on the upload folder and select “Upload Editor project…”
- Setting the method to connect with the Magelis HMI (Ethernet / Serial / USB) and the data location (Main Drive / Secondary Drive / Optional Drive) for the upload program from Schneider HMI to PC.
- Then, waiting for the process to be completed.
- Finally, open the project and check.
