Micrologix 1000 Download & Upload Program
To download a program to AB MicroLogix 1000, and upload the program from MicroLogix 1000 processor to the PC we used the:
Hardware:
- Rockwell Micrologix 1000 processor
- MicroLogix communication cable 1761-CBL-PM02
- USB to RS232 cable
Software:
- RSLogix Micro Starter Lite 8.30
- RSLinx Classic Lite

Connect MicroLogix 1000 to RSLinx Classic Lite
The first step for AB MicroLogix 1000 download & upload program we need to make communication between MicroLogix 1000 and RSLinx Classic lite. Please refer to the previous post to do it.

Micrologix 1000 Download Program
- Step 1: Open “RSLogix Micro” and create a new project. Save it.
- Step 2: Programming your project. Compile all.
- Step 3: On the project tree, click “Controller properties” -> “Controller communications” and select the driver (we added on RSLinx classic). Click “OK”.
- Step 4: Click the “Download” button. And waiting for MicroLogix 1000 download program to the processor.
- Step 5: Go online and run to check the program.
Upload the program from MicroLogix 1000
- Step 1: Open “RSLogix Micro Starter Lite 8.30”. Click the “Upload” button.
- Step 2: Click “Create new file” and wait for RSLogix Micro software to upload the program from MicroLogix 1000 to the PC. Enter the password if asked.
- Step 3: Save the project to your PC.
