What’s New In TIA Portal V20 Update 1
TIA Portal 20 Update 1 contains the following improvements and changes:
- Stability when working with the TIA Portal v20 has been improved, partly based on the feedback from returned crash reports.
- New S7-1200 G2 CPUs: TIA v20 Update 1 supports the following new CPUs – S7-1200 G2 CPU 1216 & CPU 1217.
- As of TIA V20, importing controller data from STEP 7 Classic projects with IPE into TIA Portal projects is no longer possible.
- Improvements in WinCC Unified V20
- The “Force” settings of the Audit Trail are no longer supported in WinCC Unified
- The “HmiCheckLogIntegrity” tool for checking changes in the Audit Trail is not supported in
WinCC Unified. - Unified PC and Unified Comfort Panel support a maximum of 4000 parameter set type elements.

Installation notes:
- The updates for TIA v20 are cumulative and include all previous updates.
- The latest security updates are always included in the newest update. Older updates will not be updated in this regard.
- The update can only be installed if one of the above-mentioned products is already installed.
- After installing the TIA Portal V20 update 1 for WinCC, also install the appropriate update for the HMI devices (HMI Panel Image).
- After each installation of STEP 7 V20 or WinCC V20, we recommend installing the latest update.
