Control Delta HMI on Mobile – Hardware and Software
In this article, I used the software and hardware below:
- Hardware
- Delta HMI DOP-100 series supported Ethernet port
- PLC Siemens S7-1200
- Smartphone used Android OS
- Network switch, power, lamp …
- Software
- Delta DOPSoft 4.00.16
- TIA Portal V19
- VNC Viewer app

The Steps to Control Delta HMI on Android or iOS
To control or monitor the HMI on a smartphone we need to connect the HMI with the ethernet port and smartphone to the same network. Follow the steps:
- Connect the mobile to the Wi-Fi network and check the IP address and subnet mask.
- Open Delta DOPSoft 4.00.16 and set the network parameter.
- Then, programming the S7-1200 PLC communication with Delta HMI
- Then, programming the Delta HMI and enable the VNC function.
- Then, download all programs to HMI and PLC
After that, open the smartphone app store and download, and install the app “RealVNC Viewer” or scan the QR below.
Test Control or Monitor Delta HMI on Android or iOS
After installing the “RealVNC Viewer” app on your smartphone, open it and create an account to log in. Then, connect to the Delta HMI using the address and password in the “VNC function” above. Now you can control the HMI on mobile through the Android (iOS) app. Please refer to the video below for more details.
