Improvements In TIA Portal V20 Update 4
TIA Portal V20 Update 4 contains the following improvements and changes:
- Stability when working with the TIA Portal V20 has been improved, partly based on the feedback from returned crash reports.
- Namespaces in libraries: All versions of a type must have the same namespace. It is therefore not possible to create a new version of a type and assign it a new namespace. Instead, create a new type with a new namespace.
- Industrial Engineering Copilot: A button has been added to the TIA Portal 20 toolbar to access Information on the Industrial Engineering Copilot.
- The “Export version” column has been added to the project area of the Workspace Editor. The column displays the version of the library type that is being exported.
- New export formats for Version Control Interface (VCI): TIA Portal V20 Upd 4 supports the following new formats for exporting objects to a workspace of the TIA Portal Version Control Interface
- Restrictions when importing LAD blocks: LAD blocks created with a TIA Portal version older than TIA V20 Update 4 must be regenerated due to the format change.
