Preparing To Download Smart Line HMI IE V4 Program
To download the program to Siemens Smart Line HMI IE V4 through the Ethernet port, we use the hardware and software as below:
- Siemens Smart 700 IE V4 – 6AV6648-0DC11-3AX0. On the 365evn shop, you can find it here.
- WinCC Flexible SMART V5 English (Patch) on Windows 11 x64. However, you can download and use the original version (Chinese language) with the same functions and menu locations.
- Ethernet cable
How To Download Program To Smart HMI IE V4
Step 1 – Create a new project
- Open WinCC Flexible SMART V5 English. Click “Project” -> “New…“
- Select the device (Smart 700 IE V4) and the firmware version of device (V4.0.2.0)
- Click “OK” and go to the main screen of the SMART Line HMI programming software.
- However, if you have a project file, you can skip this step and open it.
Step 2 – Transfer Program To Smart Line HMI IE V4
- First, click “Project” -> “Compiler” -> “Compile” to check any issues.
- Connect the Smart line hmi ie v4 to the PC using an Ethernet cable, turn on HMI power.
- Then, click “Project” -> “HMI device maintenance…“, select your network interface and click “Start scan” to find the Smart line HMI device.
- And, set the PC IP address in the same group as the HMI IP address (or you can set the HMI IP address in the same group as the PC IP address).
- Check again: Device type: “Smart 700 IE V4“; Mode: “Ethernet“; IP address: “Show in above”, then click “Test” to check the connection.
- Finally, click “Project” -> “Download to device…“, check again the mode (Ethernet), IP address (of HMI device), then click “Download” to transfer the program to Smart Line HMI IE V4.
- You can follow the above steps with the Smart Line HMI V3 version or any older version.
