SIRIUS Soft Starter ES (TIA Portal) is software from Siemens Automation. The Soft Starter ES (TIA Portal) helps you to configure, commission, operation, and diagnostics of the Siemens SIRIUS soft starters devices. We can connect the PC or programming device to the Siemens SIRIUS soft starter devices via the local interface on the Soft starter HMI High Feature.
The latest version of the Siemens soft starter ES (TIA Portal) is version V17. Soft starter V17 supported the new SIRIUS 3RW5 and 3RW44 soft starter devices.
- System requirements for SIEMENS SOFT STARTER ES V17:
- Operating system: Windows 10 64 Bit Pro/Enterprise or Windows Server 2016/2019 64Bits Standard.
- Processor recommended/ Minimum: Intel Core i5-6440EQ (up to 3.4 GHz)/ Intel Core i3-6100U, 2.30 GHz.
- RAM recommended/ Minimum: 16GB or more (32GB for large projects)/ 8GB.
- Hard disc recommended/ Minimum: SSD with at least 50 GB of available memory space/ S-ATA with at least 8GB of available memory space.
- Interface: Depending on PC cable type: Serial – COM or USB port.
- PROFIBUS interface: Optional. For configuring and diagnostics via PROFIBUS.
- Ethernet interface: Optional. For configuring and diagnostics via Ethernet or PROFINET

- SIRIUS Softstarter v15.1 supported SIRIUS 3RW55, 3RW52 and 3RW44 soft starter devices.
- Siemens Soft_Starter ES v16 and V17 supported SIRIUS 3RW5 and 3RW44 soft starters.
- Siemens Soft starter ES v17 and v16 offered two versions: Basic and Professional
- Soft Starter v15.1 offered three versions: Basic, Standard and Premium.
- Language: SIRIUS Soft Starter ES can be directly installed in German, English and Chinese language. With Siemens Soft Starter ES software v17 the French, Spanish and Italian languages can be installed later using the TIA Administrator or download the language pack and then install.
